Gurukul System


Gurukul system is known to be the originator of Vedic India education system. According to this system, places were established where Gurus and Shishyas used to live together at one place called Ashrams.During the Vedic days, the education mainly consisted of teaching of Vedas, Sanskrit Hymns and Ritual Practices. The Vedas mainly used Sanskrit language which later on became the chief language for classical teaching and literatures.


In Gurukul System, the preceptors belong to two classes; Acharya and Upadhyaya.  Mainly Acharyas used to perform the Upanayana ceremony (in which the child needs to leave his home for education), teach Vedas along with the Upanishads and ritualistic literature. The Upadhyaya teaches Veda for livelihood.


Brahmacharya System


The Brahmacharya System of education entails strict self-control and self-discipline. This system enforces the pupils to avoid all kind of luxuries so that they can chiefly concentrate on their studies.  In addition to that Brahmacharya System focuses on following aspect:


1.  Teaches a person how to fight with adverse conditions.


2.  Teaches how to remain healthy using techniques like Yoga.


3.  Saving energy of pupils by making them avoid any kind of sexual activity.


This type of education is mainly imparted at the age of puberty (14-20 years). The education provided at the earlier ages was not so easy, as it required the patience, good concentration and the determination.

SHIVAKAR BAPUJI TALPADE INVERTED FIRST AIRPLANE OF THE WORLD

The Great Bharat Engineer..🇮🇳 Shivkar Bapuji Talpade(1864–1916) Most of us might be wondering who is this gentleman ? 🤔 So let me tell you, this man, Shri Talpade, constructed the FIRST UNMANNED AIRCRAFT in 1895, 8 yrs before Wright Brothers. Yes, you read it absolutely right!  Shivkar Bāpuji Talpade was a technical instructor in the art & craft dept. of Sir JJ School of Art where he studied Sanskrit literature & the Vedas. Based upon the ancient texts, he constructed the first unmanned aircraft (in the contemporary world, as ancient India had planes) He learned about ancient Indian aeronautics through his teacher Chiranjilal Verma.  Shri Verma led him to read Dayanand Saraswati's works related to ancient aeronautics, such as ‘Rigvedādic Bhāshya Bhumikā’ & ‘Rigved & Yajurveda Bhāshya’ & Maharishi Bharadwaja's Vimana Shastra.   Chittor has a history going back several centuries. It was an ancient centre of Jain tradition. Chittor is adjacent to the ancient city of Madhyamika. The Jain inscriptions at Mathura from the Kushana period (1st to 3rd centuries) mention a "Majjhimilla" branch of the "Kottiya" gana, indicating that it was a major Jain centre. The famous Acharya Haribhadra Suri (6th century) was born in Chittor and wrote "Dhurtopakhyana" there. There was a scholar Elacharya at Chittor from whom Vira-senacharya (9th century) learned the ancient Shat-khandagama and Kashayapahuda. Vira-senacharya later wrote the famous "Dhavala" and "Jayadhavala" on the basis of these books. It was the residence of Jinavallabha who propagated the Vidhimarga in the 12th century.
